Merry Christmas!!!

8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “ Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” ~ Luke 2:8-14

Here's a rare shot, I caught my little guy in a smile. Actually in the next couple shots you'll notice the "ONLY" shots where I've caught smirks and a giggle but mostly you'll see him wearing the following faces:
Grumpy Face

Sleepy Face

What-Are-You-Looking-At Face

It's-Morning-Already-Ha-Ha! Face

Chill-Baby Face

Oops...Taking-a-Cheap-Shot-from-his-Big-Brother Face ...oounst!

Welcome Home Baby Applejuice!!!

Josias Arce (A.K.A. Applejuice)

Born Thursday, September 20, 2007 at about 6:30 pm (can't remember exact time).

Weighing in at 8 lbs. 1.5 oz, to be exact.

And at the hospital they measured him at 21 inches but at his first doctor's app he was 19 3/4 '' long. I dunno, go 'head and pick one, bet you he's not either one right now anyway.

The following is a recap of our first two weeks:

Ah HA! We have found the thumb! Yes sir and we like it!

Bright as day and we are out for the count.
Bedtime Bible storytime with Papi and big brother.

Are we sleeping tonight? I don't think so, I sleep during the day and Mami and Papi get no sleep.. :o)

Wormy's Birthday

Well it's been a while again and the Wormy is another year older. He's a 3 year old big boy now and he'll let you know too. He has to know why we do anything and everything. Just last Wednesday we were at church and they had a special Rosh Hashana service and I was explaining to him why their blowing a trumpet and dancing and stuff, in celebration of when the trumpets will blow and my Jesus will come down from heaven one day. And he says to me, "But mami, (as in he's trying to break it to me gently) Jesus is here in my heart already." I agreed yes, yes He is but one day, the trumpets will blow and we'll get to see Him. And he say's to me, again in his gentle way, "But mami, Baby Einstein's have trumpets and they blow them already." He means the Little Einstein's he watches on the Disney channel and what could I say but their different trumpet and angels will blow them not the Little Einstein's. What a silly worm I have... my big boy. Here are some birthday pictures, he didn't want it to be his birthday and wanted nothing to do with pictures, hence the booty shot. We got a couple good ones with his friends, but that's about it, I'm sorry to say.

Flag prop and no pictures please - what a stinker!

Buddies

Tablescape

They all had fun at in pool but this is one of my
favorite shots cause it looks like Diego's about to
yank Germancito's pit hairs out and make him yelp
like the dickens, and he's nervous about it too!

"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." ~ 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 ~

Bye-bye Hair

Well as you can see, these are some of the last photos of my wormy's hair before I cut it. He has not been as crazy since his hair so I'm sure that it's diminished some of his powers. He's a good big boy now and he likes to remind me he's a big brother too, of course.

Since then we've been to Metro Zoo with our friends and he was so well behaved, it was all in the hair, I'm tellin' you!

Big boys say, "Mami, doe away!" when they go pee.

The Verdict is In...

And it's a boy! Here's the proud big brother sporting his Lion Country Safari shirt before he got it covered with spaghetti sauce. But yes last we left off we were anxiously waiting to find out and I wish my Bood would scan the sonnagram pictures already so you can see the definitive package from the baby in the belly, maybe the next time I can post a view of the biscuit within.
And Brandola did such an awesome job at taking pictures of their day at Lion Country Safari and there were so many and so hard to choose from I just uploaded tham all to my KodakGallery http://www.kodakgallery.com/AlbumMenu.jsp ~ I'm not sure if this link will work or if you have to be logged in first but their all there. Let me know if you can't see them, email me and I'll email an invite to see the pics. I just uploaded a couple albums, we got Memorial Day beach pictures and we were thankful to our veterans for our day off together; there's Julio's VBS pic who I'm sure is thankful to be home and far fromt he clutches of my worm; then there's all the ones from the last few weeks when Tara visited with the Noodle and Hopey (the wormy still asks to go to Hopey's house and he promises not to push her, yeah right! I tell him Hopey's house is too far and he says "no mami, airpane to Hopey's house!" as if it was that simple). He also asks for the "Wuvey" (Jonathan A.K.A Lovey) He says, "Me no boom "wuvey" no!" Meanwhile, we were just looking at the pics in the camera before I downloaded them and everytime he saw the Lovey in a picutre, he'd shuve the camera! Yesterday I struggled in prayer with the Lord Who told me to pull him out of VBS this coming week for the safety of the other babies and his team leader doesn't need to be chasing him out the front door into the street so I went today and unregistered him. I was looking forward to my week off but the Lord is worthy and only He knows why and He's leading us in this parenting business anyway so we're refocusing his energies in a positive manner next week. This morning he hugs me and says "I doe dou, mami" and I said, you do, you really love me? and he said "yes mami, me no boom fwens." Now how did he know my concerns were all about him pushing his friends first thing in the morning? I'm telling you, the wisdom the Lord gives theses babies amazes me.
So that's the scoop for now! Have a Happy Father's Day weekend and check out the new pics at Kodakgallery.com.

Back by Popular Demand

I just knew I wasn't going to be able to keep up with this. I probably have stuff I need to be doing right now I just can't remember what so I'm actually sitting in front of the computer for leisure as apposed to handling the task of checking my endless list of new emails while I wait for an approoval responce from work or paying bills. However, Tara is in town and has brought to my attention that I do have people (in Tallahassee, at least) anxiously awating more updates, so here we are back by popular demand.

Last I blogged was a long time ago and ALOT has happened. By alot I mean I fianlly accepted the realization that I'm pregnant, 5 months now, surprise, surprise! Next Tuesday hopefully, we'll be finding out if it's a boy or a girl. People are more anxious than me but I figure, might as well know early on, besides, I am so done with surprises. Only the Lord knows why and His purposes are way greater than how we think things should be and so our Bood-ventures are only sure to pile up on me. I'll blog as much as I could now that finally retrieved my username and password to this. Did I mention, it's been a while since I've blogged?
The Wormy is such a good big boy, he sings his abc's everywhere we go now, at the top of his lungs. I couldn't spell out his pronownciation (I think I spelled it right) of most of the letters in his wormy alphabet you just gotta hear him sing it. My favorite letter of his would have to be "papoowee" (translation "W"). And the only difference between "V" and "Z" although they both sound like "V", the "Z" includes an extra effort in his facial expression when he says it, so you can definitly tell which letter he's actually refering to. He still does his own thing, always swimming agaisnt the current and not cooperating with the rest of civilized society, doing just as his strong character dictates but we pray the the Lord will use that for His glory growing up, He created him like that so we trust He will.

AND! oh my goodness! After such long struggle and countless set backs, I am so proud to announce that my Worm officially potty trained!!! Yesterday he even made "apu" at his Ama's house, which is huge since he only used to make apu in his potty seat here at home (Dr. Oz calls that 'safe toilet syndrome'). Well, he's got 2 safe toilets to go in now. We are hitting major milestones here. And what's awesome about that is I can now register him for pre-school for the fall, at least a couple days a week to establish some kind of routine for when the new baby comes. Our due date is October 6, by the way.

Anyway, now I'm going to see if I remember how to get some pictures up for you all to see. I'm going to strive to take more pictures from now on. All the ones I have are still in the camera. I probably took ten whole shots from our trip to Chicago, an embarrasment compared to Brandi's 52 million shots she took on their outing to Lion Country Safari. When she sends me those I'll have more to post but for now these are some I took when we went last month for Abby's wedding.

The Wormy looking proffesional, ready for the job - ringbearer. ~ My Bood, his mom, Willie, Jesenia and the worm, of course.

My Bood's mom's house in Chicago. ~ Pacific Garden Missions in downtown, we took the tour, that whole organization is an awesome work of the Spirit, this is the part of Chicago everyone MUST see to really expeirence the heart of Chicago, let me just say!

Beginning...with the End

Ok, this is the very first post of the very first blog I've ever done, this should be fun to do, I'm sure it'll be an interesting year. So far it still doesn't feel like it's a new year to me, maybe because we were home being sick for New Years or maybe because I still need to have some resolutions to make and start on, I haven't decided yet. It's probably because Heroes hasn't started back yet, I dunno but at least starting a blog is something new to do for the new year.

So far this year, my Wormy has been taking his naps in big boy underwear and waking up dry. It was scary at first but I figured I'd leave the last load of laundry to do after his nap in case he woke up in a puddle and he was dry as can be. Dukies are still too scary to venture into so I'll wait til he takes his morning squat before we put on our big boy underwear but at least he's not holding it anymore. This is exciting stuff for us, soon as he goes on his own he can go to school, I'm so feeling like this is the year for my Wormy to start pre-school, I just know it...if we can afford it, we'll see, maybe.

Alright, at least the end of our year was fun. We got to go to Disney World for free! Chachi had these tickets she had to use up by the 31st so we had to go help her out with that. So my Bood and I and the Wormy traveled up to Orlando where we met up with Moni, Julio, Chachi, Wilfredo and la Wiñie. It was fun for the Wormy who loved riding on all the choo-choos to get there (trolley and the monorail). We ate, waited in line for the race cars, rode on some other little kid rides and watched fireworks. I saw la Wiñie cry for the first time, the speaker wigged her out on the trolley. It was pretty laid back for a day at Disney even with a worm, except for the screaming he did while we waited for the ferry, it was great. Julio didn't care for Thunder Mountain, "I don't like it, I don't like it...!" But he did alright, he only peed his pants "a little bit... but only a little bit," so it was alright.

That's it for now. You can see more Disney pics on the my kodakgallery album...uhh...although I don't think a link would work from here unless you got a loggin so just email me and I'll just send you an invite straight from the kodak site if you want. You can also see pictures of baby Michael. He was born Dec. 4th...I think and he wasn't able to go to Disney but maybe next time.

Happy New Year!
